deskboundless, a candid exploration of chasing passion in Singapore

for the ones chasing something close to their hearts.

What if this is possible?

deskboundless is an exploration; to find what it means to chase our passion in today's society. Through candid conversations and thoughtful reflections, we hope to demystify the passion chasing process and perhaps you might be inspired to chase yours and live a little more voraciously.

"deskboundless"definition, free from a deskbound job. To leave the desk entirely, and build something of your own instead.

"deskbound less"definition,a little less bound to the desk. To keep the job, and still hold room in the nights, weekends, and in-between hours for the thing that's actually yours.

"desk boundless"definition,no boundary between the desk and the passion. To find work so genuinely yours that "job" stops being the right word for it.

I left banking for photography over a decade ago. Along the way, I've had the privilege of working with business leaders and owners across industries, and learning from them, in the process, the quieter lessons behind the journeys they don't usually talk about. deskboundless is a candid conversation among fellow sojourners: comparing notes, swapping war stories, heartbreaks and wins, of what it actually took to chase something close to our hearts, here in Singapore.

About

What is deskboundless?

deskboundless is, first, a belief. That we are so much more than a job title, and that there is more than one way to build a life close to what we love.

The way we see it, that pursuit tends to take one of three shapes. Some make their work the passion itself, and grow into deep expertise through it. Some keep the job and hold room for the passion in the hours around it. Some leave the desk entirely for it. None is more correct than the other, and figuring out which fits is what these conversations are for.

The podcast, the reflections, and the small toolkit that grows around it are all just ways of thinking this through, together.
